How to measure for a replacement canopy? Don’t guess. Measure, and then measure again.
Step 1: Count the Number of Ribs
Umbrella frames can have six or eight ribs. Count it.
Then, close your umbrella and remove the old canopy.
Step 2: Measure the Diameter
Measure from the end of one rib to the top center of your umbrella’s frame, where the finial cap inserts to the frame, for the radius.
Step 3: Measure again
Double the radius from step 2 for the diameter your umbrella.
